Meet THE PICKERS

This campaign, inspired by the documentary film THE PICKERS, will drive change in the European food system to eliminate the exploitation of migrant workers who pick the fruit and vegetables that we enjoy each day. The Meet THE PICKERS Tour will take the campaign on the road around Europe, building up to a week of action from 2nd June. Find out how to get involved and host a screening of your own.

Here's Seydou from the film, talking about why this campaign is important.

We need to be certain that our food is exploitation free. The implementation of 10 essential guarantees for migrant workers would give everyone a FAIR PICK.

Meet THE PICKERS Tour

In April and May we are taking the campaign on the road, leading up to a week of action from 2nd June. The tour helps people in Switzerland, Italy, Austria, Germany, Belgium and France learn about THE PICKERS and make sure they’re asking crucial questions about the exploitation of workers that pick their food.

The tour coincides with orange season, and to show that a FAIR PICK is doable and desirable we will be distributing more than 3,000 fairly produced oranges along the way. Our oranges come from SOS Rosarno, featured in the film, where workers are treated fairly. We meet citizens, partners, business leaders, politicians and key decision makers to hand them an orange and ask them to work with us to ensure all our food can come with the same guarantee, that it is exploitation free.
