The campaign THE PICKERS was inspired by the documentary film of the same name and the people whose stories it tells. In Europe, there are over 2 million migrant workers in agriculture. They are an essential part of our food system. But their work often leads them into modern slavery: unacceptable working and living conditions, pay below the minimum wage, inadequate access to healthcare, and violations of their fundamental freedoms and human rights.
